Jeremiah Carp is happy in his academic career…when a persuasive pair of ad men approach him with an intriguing brief: Work with them to “invent” a new letter. What looks like a lark, however, turns out to be something sinister, and soon Carp has his hands full, hectically helping to head off a huge hassle for humanity.

The Vowels of the Earth is a mystery with jokes, linguistics, aliens, and heart, the four essential components of any good story.

– Jason Roeder, former senior editor of The Onion and author of Griefstrike! The Ultimate Guide to Mourning

Brims with oddly lovable characters, zingy dialogue & humor, and so many twists that you not only won’t see them coming—you’ll give up and surrender to Brozik’s fevered imagination.

– Rob Kutner, writer, CONAN, The Daily Show, Snot Goblins & Other Tasteless Tales
